Woo Jin Joo | V&A Friday Late: Rituals of Becoming

June 5, 2026

Join us to witness a special edition of the performance Communion conceived by artist Woo Jin Joo for the Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington - Friday Late: Rituals of Becoming. The performance draws inspiration from Korean shamanistic rituals and was first staged at ai. gallery. This iteration reunites percussion virtuoso and composer Beibei Wang, choreographer and dancer Lico Kehua Li, alongside the artist, with music composed by Alex Ho and sound design by Rockey Sun Keting.

Experience transformation and collective myth-making through movement, sound, and sculptural presence. Navigating a portal from shared longing into reverie, this fluid ritual gathers audiences into liminal spaces where meaning is felt rather than fixed.
