A new solo installation titled Accelerated Intimacy considers questions of site, memory and staging in relation to time. It comprises of multiple video channels interspersed and juxtaposed alongside photographic prints and objects.

Her video installations are re-enactments of imagined narratives of multiple subjects housed within various hotel windows, sharing potential narratives across space and time, revolving around the theme of familiar strangers encountered then forgotten. Choo’s practice focuses on the relationship between space and time, depicting identifiable moments and characters within contemporary society. Intentionally constructed, the artist reflects upon social and cultural norms.

Since receiving her MFA in Fine Art at the Slade School of Art, University College London, Choo has exhibited with institutions including National Museum of Singapore and Singapore Art Museum.
